It’s been a while since I did a TFWatch. There are two reasons for this, 1) I hadn’t really found anything lately that had totally blown me away, and 2) Amber reads Saga and I didn’t know where she’d put Issue #4.

So, without further delay;

The Saga series is something I’ve been meaning to give a proper review to for some time, but I’ve not been able to get to it. But I could not let Issue #4 go by without making a note. Basically, freelance bounty hunter The Will travels to the planet Sextillion, and we are treated to the following;

Page 1 – Full page of two women who are little more than giant heads atop very long legs in high heels and fishnets.
Page 2 – Two panels of additional angles of the head girls.
Page 3 – Three more panels of the head girls.
Page 7 – Numerous nude-and-winged women kiss, orally pleasure, 69, and wear strap-ons for each other. It’s a flying female orgy.
Page 8 – Some small glimpses of women with wings and cat ears pleasuring men (penile warning on this page).
Page 9 – 3 panels of wonder. At the top, a nude womanpede – a female creature with multiple sets of breasts and arms – tries to attract The Will from behind a pane of glass, pressing her upper most breasts and nipples against the glass. She seems to have extra long fingers, and her especially long tongue is extended. Beneath that panel is a woman dressed like a fetish circus ringmaster who has pointy ears (penile warning for this panel, as she is whipping some men in a pyramid). And finally, a nude overweight pig-like woman is being fed grapes by a men while another risks his life between her legs.

That’s all there is before things get really dark. Of course, I’d be remiss to not mention that the book’s main female character, Alana, is also present in the A story, but we don’t get to see her wings or anything of note. But she is lovely. If you’re not reading Saga in general, I highly recommend it as it is one of the best written and illustrated series of the year.

The cover to my copy of Maxim July/August 2012 (#175)

Although you may think that I’m mentioning the July/August issue of Maxim here because of the interview with the lovely Janina Gavankar – who plays a shapeshifter on True Blood – there’s actually no transformations discussed in the interview. What I’m actually mentioning it for is the three-way interview with Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, and Colin Farrell regarding the Total Recall reboot.

An entertaining read in general, what was noteworthy is the point where they ask the stars what they think of the reaction regarding the three-breasted hooker. In response, Kate Beckinsale mentions that if she’d not gotten her current role she would have done a cameo as the three-breasted hooker. Imagine that for a second.

Ms. Beckinsale then goes on to muse how a third breast would actually fit and where it would go on her chest in addition to her own. It’s a brief exchange, and a tease at a film that almost-was.

But, let’s not think for a second that I don’t believe the film’s three-breasted hooker actress Kaitlyn Leeb isn’t perfectly lovely herself. She looks great, and I am very excited for this movie.
