So, the other day I was flipping through Cosmo (more research, I assure you), and I stumbled across this ad;

Katy Perry Perfume Purr ad

Now, I love the beautiful and talented Katy Perry (Amber and I both have her albums). And I love latex outfits. And the fact that it’s an outfit that gives the wearer sexy feline attributes is an even bigger bonus.

I hadn’t noticed the ball of yarn originally so now we even have some shrunken woman action! And seriously – have you seen the heels she has on?

But for some reason, despite this perfect storm of details, when I look at this image I’m just…yep, looks good.

I don’t know what I expected, but I just find my reaction really odd. I know I may be the only one who looks at Ms. Perry in that outfit – who looks absolutely sexy – and has that response.

Anyone else have an experience where all the stars and planets aligned in an image or story and you were just like, yep, that was done well and find yourself completely underwhelmed with your reaction compared to the norm?
